Anthrax
Anthrax is an infectious disease which is caused by Bacillus anthracis and usually affects Paarhufer. It also is called anthrax. It was discovered 1849 by Aloys Pollender. The pathogene of anthrax is a stick consuming oxygen and forming spore. The spurs can survive under favorable circumstances centuries. People also can be affected if they are exposed to high doses by anthrax spurs. The transmitting of man to man, however, doesn't take place at corresponding precautions.
Distribution
Anthrax occurs in all countries and in all continents, though in frequency varying strongly. It finds itself preferential on the damp, marshy grounds and in flood areas from river and creek runs in which the spurs can be protracted and spread by the water. Spurs still can reach the surface even from carcasses buried deeply by increasing groundwater after decades again and again. If in the course of building measures the areas of former Abdeckereien and Wasenmeistereien which far were outside the settlement periphery decades ago still are cut, spurs can be transported up again.
The majority of the anthrax cases was stated in fields with green country and pastural agriculture. A highlight seasonally stands out in spring while the statistical low is lying in summer. Also within years with extremely high precipitations you must calculate with increased cases of illness. As illness and malicious epidemic the anthrax is known already since the ancient times. It is reporting both in the Bible and with Greek and romans. The old Arab doctors described the anthrax as a Persian fire with man.
Also as wild illness the anthrax has been known for a long time. You still report over real epidemic trains from the 9th century. After because of the progressive knowledge of microbiology the epidemic could be forced back in the domestic animal inventory, it was only established occasionally with the game within the last decades, too. With regard to the occurrence with different wild ways the susceptibility minted differently strongly plays a role.
Terrorism and anthrax
The opinions of experts how far anthrax bacteria are suitable for the biological warfare differ at all events animal experiments aren't representative since sheep can purchase the illness by photo of one single anthrax spore e.g. while people probably need approximately 50,000 spurs for it. The spurs are insensitively and therefore e.g. considerably more suitable than the plague bacterium Yersinia pestis against outer influences. Weapon anthrax is cultivated especially so to be immune to vaccines. Germany doesn't have any vaccines against anthrax, a need import from foreign countries also would be unnecessary since there are severe control regulations which would last weeks. Until there the patient would already be dead. The means with which American soldiers are treated are still immature and have many secondary effects. In addition, the vaccines only immunize against a normal anthrax. New tribes which were cultivated by the American armed forces for the military use are immune to vaccines.
