The Boat
The boat (German: Das Boot) is the title of a novel of Lothar-Günther Buchheim which was confessed by the filming of Wolfgang Petersen.
The action plays U 96 which runs out from La Rochelle in 1941 on the submarine in the second World War. Book home processes his personal experiences as a war correspondent in the book and describes the submarine crew the depressing situations with a high precision.
