Seoul - South Korea

The capital of South Korea is listened for Seoul. Up to the partition of the country 1948 it was the capital of all of Korea of 1394. Seoul has 10,349,291 inhabitants in the real town and 21,545,457 in the agglomeration.

Story of Seoul

The Siberian tiger was far common in Korea once. The wall also offered protection against thieves, vagabonds and attacks. Only certainly, today, the wall partly is in the north and in the south of the town on hills. The town gates are, however, received. Two of the gates, Sungnyemun and Dongdaemun, are spaciously known. During the Joseon dynasty every gate was opened and closed daily. A loud bell was rung to signal this.

The town was repeatedly of North Korean troops taken and conquered back again in the Koreakrieg. After the war and the splitting of Korea Seoul became the capital of South Korea.
