Toronto - Canada
The city of Toronto is the largest town of Canada and capital of the province Ontario, however not this one capital of the country. Toronto is located in the area called Golden Horseshoe with 4.7 million inhabitants in the southeast of the country. The town is limited by the 19,000 km ² of tall Lake Ontario and forms an important railroad junction.
Story of Toronto
Called the Wyandot the place Tarantua, what so much indicates like meeting place at which they held meetings. In the 17th century it was the skin-hunters who quite successfully used the meeting place for their business until the British governor Simcoe had a Fort built from the economic trade center. This was the beginning of Toronto. The at that time still York named settlement developed only slowly also when the seat of government was transferred by Northkanada here. But the Loyalisten then came along, with them the water and gas supply, and York renamed in Toronto was put through to the markets by the railroad in the fifties in the USA.
